Verizon can make calls but not receive

I've tried rebooting, taking the battery/card out, taking it on and off of airplane mode, and even tried to download something that has worked for other people. NOTHING has worked. I'm getting a new phone next month, but I can't survive until then without one when I use it for everything. HELP! Also: It's not a service issue.
