Feb 10, 2023 · The MPRE scaled score is a standard score. Standard scaled scores range from 50 (low) to 150 (high). The mean (average) scaled score was established at 100, based upon the performance of the examinees who took the MPRE in March 1999.
It’s curved and scaled. The exact formula is unknown but the percent scores are scaled to the score distribution of 70-130 or whatever. But as to what counts as an 85 or the minimum score to pass all states, it’s about 55-60%. If you want to be safe shoot for 60%. Get as many right as you can.
I understand that the MPRE uses a "scaled score" that involves a statistical process. However, I can't figure out approximately how many questions you have to answer correctly to get a score of at least 85.
