Just got Borderlands GOTY edition like a lot of others on this board and chose Lilith as my 2nd character (played a bit with Roland and found him a bit boring) due to her main weapon being SMGs. Blackout and Inner Glow are the big-ticket skills here IMO. Blackout is the key skill that lets you Phasewalk often, while Inner Glow is simply reliable healing and survivability, always a plus.
