The e-commerce giant Amazon has bought an approximately 50-acre piece of land in the Roanoke Centre for Industry and Technology from the Oregon-based brewery Deschutes, the city of Roanoke announced Friday. Amazon plans to build a 125,000-square-foot “last mile” distribution center there to handle customer orders.
